Sub-micron processing capability

Sanluo Precision's medical device precision machining can achieve precision turning with IT5 and IT4 accuracy levels. The dimensional tolerance ranges from ±0.001mm to ±0.003mm, and the surface roughness Ra is between 0.05μm and 0.2μm. The factory is equipped with ultra-precision lathes with spindle runout less than 0.5μm, nanometer-level grinding machines, and ion beam polishing equipment. Stress-free processing technology

By using a combination of small cutting depth (ap < 0.05mm), high rotational speed (n > 10,000 rpm), and micro feed (f < 0.01mm/r), the cutting force and heat are reduced. After the equipment is processed, stress-relieving heat treatment (150 - 200℃, 2 - 4 hours) is carried out to eliminate residual stress and prevent size changes after implantation. Thin-walled parts (with a wall thickness less than 0.3mm) are clamped using special fixtures such as soft jaws and magnetic attraction to prevent deformation.


Surface integrity control and verification

The surface quality of medical device precision machining can affect biocompatibility. Sanluo Precision uses AFM (Atomic Force Microscope) to detect the surface morphology and ensures there are no microscopic defects. The surface roughness is measured using a white light interferometer, with an accuracy of 0.01nm. For orthopedic implants, controlling the surface roughness at Ra 1-5 μm is beneficial for bone integration, and for blood-contacting devices, controlling Ra < 0.2 μm can reduce thrombosis. Fatigue tests (with more than 10⁷ cycles), corrosion tests, and mechanical performance tests.
