Digital manufacturing system

The Sanluo Precision factory has fully implemented digitalization in its precision CNC medical machining workshop. It adopts integrated CAD/CAM/CAE design and manufacturing, uses CATIA for 3D modeling, Mastercam to generate processing programs, and ANSYS for finite element analysis. The MES (Manufacturing Execution System) enables control of the entire production process, including from order placement, process scheduling, material distribution, quality inspection, to finished product storage and other aspects. The equipment networking rate is 100%, with real-time collection of processing parameters, tool status, and equipment operation conditions. A digital twin model is established, and virtual verification is conducted before actual processing. The trial-and-error cost is reduced by 50%.


Multi-axis machining

As an advanced precision CNC medical machining manufacturer, Sanluo Precision is equipped with DMG five-axis machining center and Makino turning and milling combined center. The five-axis machining can complete the processing of complex curved surfaces with one setup. Artificial joint ball heads (radius R15-25mm, ballity ≤ 0.01mm) and spinal intervertebral fusion devices (multi-surface cooperation, cooperation accuracy ± 0.02mm). The turning and milling combined processing has completed the processes of outer circle, end face, drilling, slotting, and tapping, increasing the processing efficiency by 60% and ensuring the positional accuracy of each surface. The centering lathe processes slender shaft instruments (L/D ≥ 20), with straightness ≤ 0.02mm/100mm.


Continuous process improvement

Sanluo Precision Company has a continuous improvement mechanism for precision CNC medical machining. Using the Six Sigma (6σ) management method, the defect rate is ≤ 3.4 ppm. Using experimental design (DOE) to optimize cutting parameters to improve processing efficiency and processing quality stability. Regularly conduct tool life tests, cutting force tests, and surface integrity analysis, and create a process database. The engineering team participates in the development of new products for customers, provides DFM suggestions, and improves the manufacturability of the products. It has directly or indirectly provided customized precision CNC medical machining services for high-end medical equipment such as Da Vinci surgical robots, GE medical CT, and Philips ultrasound probes.
