In Sanluo Precision’s centreless grinding process, a three-point support processing system of grinding wheel, regulating wheel and support plate is adopted. The workpiece can be externally cylindrical ground without center hole positioning. The grinding wheel rotates at a high speed of 30—35m/s to remove materials, and the regulating wheel rotates in the same direction at a slow speed of 50-200rpm to drive the workpiece. The support plate supports the workpiece and determines the grinding position. Axial feed is realized by accurately adjusting the inclination angle of the regulating wheel (0.5°-3°). Through-thread grinding is adopted, with workpieces continuously entering from one end and outputting from the other end, and the whole process is uninterrupted. Compared with repeated clamping, tool retraction and commutation of traditional grinders, centerless grinding saves more than 60% of auxiliary time. The rigid support structure formed by the support plate and regulating wheel has a bearing capacity 2-3 times that of center support, and can realize large-depth grinding with single-side allowance of 0.5—2mm, especially suitable for shaft parts with slenderness ratio L/D greater than 10, effectively preventing bending deformation.
